Welcome to Sonduru, an online dating and social networking platform designed to help individuals in Sri Lanka connect, communicate, and build meaningful relationships in a safe and respectful environment.

By accessing or using the Sonduru application, website, or related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, along with Sonduru’s Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any other applicable policies. If you do not agree with these terms, you must discontinue use of the platform.

1. Eligibility

Sonduru is intended exclusively for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

By creating an account or using the platform, you confirm and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • All information you provide is accurate and truthful

Sonduru does not knowingly allow minors to use the service. Any account identified as belonging to a person under 18 will be immediately suspended or terminated.

2. Use of the Platform

Users agree to use Sonduru in a lawful, respectful, and responsible manner.

You agree to:

  • Communicate honestly and respectfully with other users
  • Use the platform only for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and platform rules
  • Primarily communicate through Sonduru’s in-app messaging system

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and for the content you share.

3. In-App Communication & Contact Sharing

By default, communication on Sonduru is limited to in-app messaging only.

The sharing of personal contact information—including phone numbers, email addresses, social media accounts, messaging app details, or external links—is restricted and permitted only under eligible paid subscription plans, as clearly described within the application.

Any attempt to:

  • Circumvent messaging restrictions
  • Pressure users to move conversations outside the platform
  • Misuse paid communication privileges

may result in enforcement actions, including content removal, feature restriction, suspension, or permanent account termination.

4. Paid Features & Subscriptions

Sonduru offers both free and paid subscription plans.

Paid features may include:

  • Extended messaging limits
  • Visibility of message content
  • Enhanced interaction features
  • Controlled permission to share contact details, depending on the selected plan

All prices, features, and limitations are displayed clearly before purchase. Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. Paid features are activated immediately upon successful payment.

5. Prohibited Activities

  • Harassment, hate speech, threats, or abusive behavior
  • Impersonation or false representation of identity
  • Scams, fraud, solicitation, or deceptive practices
  • Sharing explicit, illegal, or culturally inappropriate content
  • Using the platform for commercial, promotional, or unlawful purposes
  • Attempting to bypass technical restrictions or subscription limits
  • Misuse of paid features or contact-sharing permissions

6. Content Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for the content they post, upload, or share, including messages, images, and profile information.

By using Sonduru, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to share the content you upload
  • Your content does not violate laws, third-party rights, or platform policies

7. Account Enforcement

Sonduru reserves the right to investigate violations and take appropriate enforcement action, including:

  • Issuing warnings
  • Removing content
  • Restricting features
  • Temporarily suspending accounts
  • Permanently terminating accounts

8. Termination by User

Users may discontinue use of Sonduru at any time by deleting their account through the application or contacting customer support. Termination does not entitle users to refunds for any unused subscription time.

9. Limitation of Liability

Sonduru acts solely as a technology platform and does not guarantee matches, relationships, or outcomes.

10. Service Availability

Sonduru strives to maintain uninterrupted service but does not guarantee continuous availability. The platform may experience temporary downtime due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. Such interruptions do not entitle users to refunds or compensation.

11. Modifications to Terms

Sonduru reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated when required. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from the use of Sonduru shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
